One of my hobbies is woodworking, which I have been doing for decades. As you can see in the following videos, I share the five significant wood process preparations necessary for any desired wood project.
1st – cutting on a bandsaw
2nd – smoothing on a thickness planer
3rd – using the jointer to straighten edges
4th – fine cutting on a table saw
5th – cutting to length on a miter saw
Enjoy!
During the pandemic, I completed three projects – a king-size bed, a rustic bench called a Mercedes bench, and a console table. Most of the materials used in these projects were from a demolished building of the Port Authority.
From 8 x 8 wooden Yakal and Guijo posts to a King-sized bed.
From 4 x 16 girder and scrap steel I-beam to a rustic bench.
The console table top was from the steps of Ann’s ancestral house in Baganga ( Davao Oriental), which typhoon Pablo damaged in December 2012.
These projects can easily be knocked down to their smaller modules/components and re-assembled for easier moving as they are heavy in their assembled form.
The projects were made easier using my 8 x 8 horizontal band saw.
